is there a monthy highspeed internet fee when having a laptop?

i have cox highspeed with my desktop computer and am thinking about getting a laptop, i’m confused about how they work. would i pay another monthly fee on top of what i have for internet on a laptop?

    You would not have to pay anything extra, but you’d have to buy a small ($50) wireless router.
