I’m wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Qwest in regards to downloading privacy? I’ve heard that Comcast actually monitors online activity and will send warning letters and e-mails regarding copyright infringements. Please spare me the lectures on illegal downloads as I do not participate in this activity and I would like info merely to help in making a choice for internet provider based on the providers respect of privacy.
Keep in mind that I am asking about an internet service provider, not a web-browser…
broadband access

i dont prefer qwest because it tells you just like comcast when its something illegal.
I would go with Mozzilla Firefox or Internet Explorer
First off, If you use the internet in the U.S. you are being monitored no matter who your carrier is, but some are worse than others like Comcast and Verizon because they have made deals with the government, as for Qwest I haven’t heard of any issues with them!
I work for qwest as an escalations supervisor… I get this question almost on a daily basis. Qwest is one of the few providers who fights for their customers rights and does not sell customer information. However, just as the previous answerer stated, when you are online, anyone can see what your doing regardless of firewalls, virusware.. anything…
