Will work just fine.  I used to do this at the house back in the day when i had dialup.  You are just sharing internet, not corporate protocols.  Internet is internet.  The easiest (but not cheapest) way would just get a router. Routers have internal hardware firewalls and stuff that makes internet more secure and you can hardwire like 7 computers to it, even more if you use wireless.  You shouldnt have a problem though, fine tuning the settings can get annoying though.</description>
