Alright, this is pretty complicated.
I have 2 PC laptops in my house (1 hp, 1 dell) the HP is connected to the Linksys Router. Both computers have a wireless card, and we pay for wireless SBC Global everymonth. We used to be able to go start>connect to> wireless internet, and be able to surf the web, but something messed up our configureation. Now to go online we have to connect to the wireless, and THEN connect to broadband Sbc Global, type in a password and then we will we connected. Also, both computers cannot be online at the same time, it wont let us both connect (which it used to let us). sbc wont connect unless the wireless is connected.
I need to know how to fix that configuration on my router, so i only have to connect to the wireless. I bought a new mac, and i can connect to our wireless connection, but somehow it will not connect to the SBC Global, it says no PPPOE is found although i put in our name and password.
PLEASE help intricately with the situation! THANKS
high speed wireless

This is a router that is misconfigured! Linksys routers can and will validate for SBC (I know I have several).
You will need to connect to the router with a WIRED computer.
Once connected with a cable log on to the router.
Open a web browser window and in the address bar type
That should take you to the login for the router.
Once there click on the SETUP tab.
Under the setup on the WAN settings.
Select PPPoE as the connection type, That will cause another set of lines to appear.
In those type your username and password for SBC (that usually is your email address and password)
Then click apply. Save settings and you may exit the setup.
try your connection, you should just work.
If you need setup guides you can get those for your router at just enter your router model and version and you should find the guide.
It really is just a minor configuration issue!
Good Luck
