Connecting an Ethernet broadband router to Laptop and Desktop PC so they both have internet?

SAMSIEF KEN asked:

How do I connect my Ethernet broadband router to my PC and Laptop have internet?

I have a laptop that I want connected to the internet at the same time as my computer. I have a D-Link router, a cable modem, a laptop, and a PC computer. What connects to what port, or what kind of cords?

Thanks.

Well of coarse your going to have a coax cable going from your cable modem to your wall outlet. From the modem to the router youll have a standard ethernet cable going into the wan port on your router. then you just take two more ethernet cables and hook them into any of the numbered ports on your router to your computers. thats all there is to it.
